The Viennese musician and singer Robert Shumy is much acclaimed for by audiences for his extraordinary voice that gives you shivers up and down your spine, when he launches into "Can't help fall in' in love". He is a true professional on the acoustic guitar in the authentic style of greats like Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, Hank Williams. Audiences love him when he plays squeeze box classics. Being a self-taught artist, he founded his band Salty Dogs in 1991. When a new bass player joined them in 1999, the "Salty DogZ" were born. And now he is on the road with The Robert Shumy Band.
Summer 1997, he recorded his first solo CD "It's Pickin' Time!".
